Elegance Unleashed: Mugnier Musigny 2000 - Eight Perfect Bottles!

Wine bottles on display

In the Mugnier line up, Musigny remains the crown jewel for the Domaine and one of the most intriguing wines you will ever experience. In typical Mugnier fashion, despite all the fireworks, the wine manages to remain discreet, harmonious and perfectly balanced.

They are the definition of elegance, and many Burgundy aficionados consider their expression of the Grand Cru of Le Musigny to be the absolute best. Winemakers in Burgundy have gained quite a celebrity status over the years, due in part to the demand for these wines and the scarcity of them, and Freddy Mugnier is no exception to that. Even the late Becky Wasserman shared her adoration for him, saying – “There are many paths, many beliefs, many choices that bring people to produce extraordinary wine. But I won’t beat around the bushI find Frédéric’s approach profound.”

Today we are offering eight (8) perfect bottles of 2000 Mugnier Musigny, in stock and ready to ship immediately. We took a look at Cellar Tracker reviews from fellow collectors over the last year and they are all phenomenal –

“Palate was plush and round with seamless texture.”

“This was my favorite vintage in today's vertical, the most seamless and complete. It checked all the boxes, so to speak, without missing anything.”

“So much class compared to the Vogue. Really beautiful wine with good acidity and nice weight. The whole package.”

“It possesses everything you want from a Musigny.”

We are offering our bottles for the lowest price in the WORLD – Next best is $2740/bottle!

"A fabulously complex nose that has now gone almost fully secondary aromas with floral notes to the mostly black fruit scents that enjoy added breadth in the form of anise, dried herbs and a touch of smoke. The medium-full flavors offer exceptional focus and such richness that this seems almost liqueur-like, all wrapped in a hugely long and mouth coating finish. As is typical of the Mugnier style that despite all the fireworks, this manages to remain discreet, harmonious and perfectly balanced. While there is plenty going on, this is not a particularly big Musigny yet it is superbly refined, classy and extremely pure. In short, this is class in a glass and this delivers knock out quality for the vintage. For my taste this is drinking perfectly now though I underscore that it should continue to do so for years and there might even be a small amount of upside development potential remaining."  - Allen Meadows, 93
