Promontory 2018: Legendary Napa Cabernet, 5 Perfect Scores!

A wooden crate with bottles of wine

Promontory 2018 has five 100 point ratings!! There are not many wines that can claim that legendary status.

We are excited to present 3 pristine Promontory 2018 3PK Original Wood Cases that we have in stock and ready to ship.

Everything about Promontory is unique. Nestled in the foothills of the Mayacamas, Promontory's high-elevation vineyards are a geological museum sitting on a fault line with sedimentary, volcanic and, most importantly (and rare for Napa), metamorphic soils. All these attributes combine to produce a slow-to-evolve wine with lower alcohol and brighter acidity than what we expect from Napa Valley.

The 2018 Promontory is the best vintage from this Harlan Family label and will be a legend in about 10-15 years. The reviews are sky high, and you will not want to miss out on tasting one of the best Cabernet Sauvignon to be made in all of Napa Valley.

At $931 per bottle we are the Lowest In Stock Case Price in the Country!

This is a must try for every Napa Collector!

2018 Promontory

"Violets and blueberries with cloves and pine cones, following through to a medium to full body with tight, seamless tannins, like finely cut diamonds. It’s very closed and reserved at the end. Weightless. Needs plenty of time to open. Unique wine." - 100 points, James Suckling

"Gorgeous blackcurrant bramble fruit tones on the nose. A hint of plum, juniper, allspice, cinnamon, pepper and violets. Stylish and compelling, a real sense of purity from the first mouthful. So carefully controlled and delivered. Tannins are ample but finely textured and well integrated - this really stands out in the tasting and is a step-up in terms of nuance, complexity and character. Tannins coat the mouth in a powdery chalky minerality while the subtle density and quiet muscular power gives the base and focus. Nothing stands out, you know you're in California which is excellent, but it's not overt or too much. Tastes sophisticated, stylish and overall expensive! A thrilling wine that really shines and is all the more likeable because it's not showing off or shouting too loudly. Liquorice and tar end the wine on a savoury note, suggesting long cellaring and long ageing potential. I love it. A class above. Director Will Harlan, winemaker David Cilli. (GH)" - 100 points, Decanter

“The 2018 Promontory is as phenomenal as it has always been, but it, too is going through a period of reticence. This dark, brooding Cabernet is packed with character. Time in the glass brings out striking inner perfume and sweetness. There is a feeling of stark minimalism in the 2018 that I find compelling. Constantly changing in the glass, the 2018 is a magical, exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon”100 Points, Antonio Galloni
